3 Hunches about what you’re working on…

1. Your project is searching for the right words.

Words that connect with your customers and the value they're looking for.

These words aren't always elusive—many times they hide in plain sight, but when you're as close to a project as you are, a fresh pair of eyes (and ears) can help.

Tracking down such words is a big part of what I do, as a writer.

So, there's my first hunch.

2. Your words are looking for the right voice.

By voice, I don't mean style or tone. (Though they're important too.)

I mean an audible, human voice that "gets" the intent of every word being read.

A voice on the same wavelength as your customer's and your copy's.

When it comes to your promotional trailer, or explainer video or TV commercial, all this makes for good vibes.

Sometimes that voice—the one your words are looking for—is mine.

In which case, I am happy to help them... and you. See the voiceover page for more on how I can help.

3. When they both hit the mark, everything becomes easier.

Turn on the telly or YouTube for any amount of time and you'll see for yourself.

Ads that persuade, and ads that don't.

Just like an orchestra needs instruments to resonate with.

The project you're orchestrating needs it's own too:

Words that will resonate, and a voice that carries your message.

Without these two, your would-be customers can't read, or hear or feel the resonance of what you’ve made.

Thus begins the hard road, and the hard sell. You don't want that.

You want the right words, said in a way that's right for your brand.

So, there you have it…

3 hunches, based on my work in 2 roles (writer and voiceover), which only leaves 1 question:

Which best describes you?
